There’s a couple of things that dropped it from a 5 to a 4 for me. Although I love that it’s double lined, it adds weight to the dress. I cannot wear this dress off one shoulder the way it’s shown in the pictures without nearly exposing a breast, off both shoulders is the only way I can keep that from happening. The skirt of the dress is also pulled down and the waist seam doesn’t sit where I want it to if I’ve walked a bit in it. The care tag of this dress is sewn into the seam in the skirt and is visible when wearing it so I’ve had to remove it which leaves me scrambling to the website to see if if’s a dry clean only or a machine washable item. I also noticed when I wear it that the edges of the skirt towards the bottom flip curl outward even when steamed to lay flat.
In saying all that, I love the dress regardless.
It’s gorgeous. And every time I wear it, I get compliments on it and asked where I purchased it.
I initially bought it in black so when so when the coral was released I knew I had to have it. I adore the colour and how soft it is. Unfortunately, it’s too thick a dress to wear in summer, here in Sydney, but I love that it’s double lined making it a perfect autumn/spring dress. I wear it with a pair of knee or thigh high boots and a leather jacket and it’s perfect. It’s also long enough for me to wear it with a pair of sneakers to dress down. At 180cm, it’s hard to find dresses long enough to wear with sneakers without looking like you’ve shrunken them in the dryer.
It’s also incredibly soft and my son and partner linger in their hugs when I wear this or the black.
I’d love to see it in a jewel tone hue like emerald green or amethyst. I reckon it would look superb.
For reference, I’m 180cm tall, 93cm bust, 72cm waist and have 103cm hips. I feel that the medium is a touch too big at the top on me (just the nature of the dress) but I know a small would have been too small over my hips and made the slit risqué instead of a casual type of sexy.
Buy it. Don’t hesitate. Just buy it.
